It is an average-sized hummingbird. Long and thin bill. Their tones vary between blacks and greenish blacks, passing through the greens and aquamarines. Its beautiful colors are appreciated with good daylight. Inhabitant of humid forests and gardens. It is found in the north and eastern Andes of Colombia and northwestern Venezuela. In Colombia it is found from 1900 to 3300 m above sea level (mainly from 2400 to 2900m) in the Serranía de Perijá and also on both slopes of the Eastern Cordillera from the north of Santander to Cundinamarca (Bogotá area).Taken from: Wiki Aves de Colombia
