Rufous-collared sparrow
Common in open areas and agricultural fields, one of the most common birds between 1000 and 3700 meters above sea level. Its name zonotrichia derives from the Greek roots zone = collar and thrix = feather. His epithet capensis refers to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.
