Buff-tailed coronet
This hummingbird has a short and straight bill. It varies in shades of green, cinnamon and bronzes. Male and female are similar in appearance. It lives in humid jungles of the Cordillera de los Andes, with a wide distribution. This hummingbird is relatively common in humid and very humid forests of mountains and edges. It is replaced in the Pacific slope by C. Alirrufo, and in the eastern slope of the Eastern Cordillera in the extreme south by C. Castaño
